You can buy, sell and trade DIMO Token on the Polygon Network using QuickSwap which is an Automated Market Marker. It offers the same liquidity pool model as Uniswap and is basically a duplicate of it. Users can also add token pairs to liquidity pools, where they can then earn transaction fees from other users who use the pools to swap tokens.
The popularity of QuickSwap can be attributed to the Polygon Network’s fast service and affordable prices. Additionally, it works with the Ethereum network, enabling the exchange of ERC-20 tokens.
Here are the steps required to buy DIMO on Quickswap
1: Download & set up a Metamask wallet.
Within the Polygon/Matic network, there are a number of crypto wallets to select from, with Metamask appearing to be the most used. Metamask Chrome extension and Google Chrome can both be downloaded if you’re using a desktop computer. You can also download it from the Google Play or iOS App Store and use it on your smart phone if you wish. Just be sure to visit the Metamask website and download the official Chrome extension and mobile app. Using the Google Chrome extension for the wallet or the mobile app you downloaded, register and set up the cryptocurrency wallet. You must add the Polygon network if it is not already installed after downloading the app. You can use the support page for the wallet as a resource. Make a note of your wallet address and keep your seed phrase secure.
2: Buy some Matic & send it to your Metamask wallet
Once your wallet is setup, you will need to buy some Matic in order to pay the transaction fees when trading DIMO on the polygon network, you do not need much as transaction fees on polygon are dirt cheap, we are talking a few cents per transaction. You can buy Matic on most exchanges, I personally use Binance.
Go to your wallet section and search for the Polygon/Matic you acquired. Click on “withdraw” and provide the necessary data. Choose Polygon/Matic as the network, then enter your Metamask wallet address and the desired transfer amount and wait for your Matic to appear in your Metamask wallet.
3: Choose a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) to trade DIMO on.
There are multiple decentralized exchanges to buy and sell DIMO on, I personally use Quickswap but you can also use Uniswap and 1inch exchange too.
4: Connect Your Wallet
One you are on the DEX of your chose, hit the “connect wallet” button and connect to the Polygon network. If DIMO does not appear on the DEX, you can go to https://polygonscan.com/ and find DIMO smart contract address. You can then copy and paste it into whatever DEX you are using. Beware of scams and make sure you found the official contract address.
5: Trade for DIMO with Matic or stable coin, or vise versa.
You can choose to buy DIMO with either Matic, USDC or USDT. Same with selling DIMO, you can sell it for Matic, USDC or USDT.
